At CEV Motors we’ve taken a different approach to re-power. Rather than attempting to make 1 system that works for all vehicles or only focus on one-off vehicle builds, we’ve taken a scale approach of creating modern powertrain systems that work for vehicle types – and we share our work with others in the re-power industry. We’ve partnered with the best component manufacturers in the world to bring these systems to reality.
This is the methodology of our patents as well as the methodology of our operations. We believe in safety (and quality) of the system first. Rest assured that the powertrain going into your vehicle not only exceeds what was originally there – it will likely exceed the power, performance, longevity, reliability, and fun of a newer equivalent.
VINTAGE RE-POWER
Classic or Vintage vehicles are a wildly underestimated part of the automotive market. We underestimate the market, because we don’t see them every day. They have become beloved members of a family and are typically garaged and driven on the weekends – if at all. But they are out there, 31MM+ in the US alone.
There is a problem, however. Due to their dated motors and transmissions, decreasing availability of parts, and a dwindling number of mechanics that know how to work on them, actually driving them is becoming increasingly challenging and expensive. That's where we come in.
VINTAGE OPTIONS
FULL SIZE TRUCK
Classic long wheelbase trucks are unusually robust machines. This stems from their utilitarian construction which lends itself to a solid platform for modern performance re-power.
LONG WB SUV
Most long wheelbase SUV's are based off of their truck counterparts. As such, these frames and chassis designs serve as a solid foundation for modern performance re-power.
SHORT WB SUV
These types of classics can all point to the original Jeep as inspiration for their design. As such, their utilitarian architecture makes for a solid foundation for modern performance re-power.
MUSCLE CAR
Like many trucks / SUVs, the 'muscle car' configuration was designed, from the beginning, to handle high torque and increased stresses to the frame. As such - these vehicles make excellent candidates for modern performance re-power.
MICRO CARS
These little cars are a favorite of many classic collectors. Like many classics, however, their motors are tyically hard to maintain. By re-powering these vehicles to a modern power plant, we retain the useability of these for years to come.
FLEET RE-POWER
Commercial vehicles are a major part of the world auto population. Because automotive manufacturers can’t make cars for every use case, they tend to ‘over-engineer’ these vehicles to capture as much market share as possible. This fact increases the complexity of the machines and leads to shorter lifespans of the engines / transmissions.
These facts make commercial vehicles a great fit for our re-power systems. Once the old engine and transmission is out and our new powerful and efficient driveline goes in – there is no limit to the longevity (and cost savings) a commercial customer will experience.
